The University of Findlay women's soccer team captured their first win of the season on Wednesday, September 7 in 2-1 fashion as they topped Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio.  The victory gives the Oilers a 1-2 record on the season with a 1-0 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers, who were down 1-0 late in the first half, scored in the 42nd minute when Eryn Weber found the back of the net off of a throw-in.  Brittany Guglielmi was credited with the assist on the play.

After the horn sounded, the Oilers wasted no time in scoring their second goal as Ashley Ruz scored unassisted from 25-yards out at the 49:20 mark of the game.

Alicia Tutino picked up the win in the net for Findlay after allowing only the one goal.

As a team, the Oilers out-shot the Dragons 23-5.

The Oilers will be back in action again on September 9 when they face Lake Erie College.  The GLIAC contest is scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm in Painesville, Ohio.
