Track Wraps Up First Day Of Findlay Classic

Results

The University of Findlay indoor track and field teams completed the first day of the Findlay Classic on Friday, Jan. 27th in the Malcolm Athletic Center.

Jessica Rowland led the Oilers with a first place, NCAA automatic qualifying toss of 62'04.50 in the weight throw.  That mark was also good enough to set the new school record.

Pam Showman set a school record of her own with a second place, NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 3,328 in the pentathlon event, while Abigail Magner and Samantha Hassen finished fifth and sixth in the 5,000-meter run with times of 19:35.24 and 19:41.30, respectively.

On the men's side, the team of Joe Guerra, Shawnathan Fort, Dillon Webster and Justin Eilerman placed second in the distance medley with a time of 10:24.41.

The Findlay Classic will conclude tomorrow.
