Dragons Defeat Oilers 66-51

The University of Findlay women's basketball team dropped their fifth straight game as they lost 66-51 to Tiffin University on Thursday, Feb. 9 in Tiffin, Ohio.  The loss gives the Oilers a 12-10 record on the season with a 6-9 mark in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

The Oilers shot a miserable 27.7 percent (18-of-65) from the floor, which included a 4-of-21 (19%) showing from behind the three point line.

Junior forward Kayla Brown led the Oilers offensive attack with 13 points and eight rebounds.  The Mt. Blanchard native hit 5-of-10 shots from the floor and also added two assists and two steals.

Freshman forward Lacey Kessler also reached double figures, providing 11 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Mandy Jaeb led the Dragons with 16 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

The Oilers will return to action again on Saturday when they travel to Columbus, Ohio to face Ohio Dominican University at 1 pm.
