The University of Findlay women's soccer team defeated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Malone University 2-0 on Friday, October 25 at DeHaven Field. 

The Oilers jumped out to a 1-0 lead when junior Eryn Weber scored on a breakaway at the 10 minute mark.  Her goal was assisted by senior Sarah Silone. 

The Oilers delivered the final punch in the contest when junior Danielle Hart scored off of an assist by Weber at the 74 minute mark. 

The Oilers dominated offensively with a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks and a 21-5 advantage in the shot department. The defense was also stout, limiting the Pioneers to five shots in the shutout.   

Findlay goalkeeper Samantha Trimboli picked up the win in the net and had four saves in the process. 

The Oilers, who improve to 7-6-2 on the year with a 3-4-2 mark in GLIAC play, will face GLIAC foe Walsh University on Sunday, October 27 at DeHaven Field at 3 p.m.
