Oilers Lose 3-0 To Michigan Tech

The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Michigan Technological University 3-0 on Saturday, October 5 at DeHaven Field. 

The Huskies jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Lindsey Van Rooy scored at the 42 minute mark.  Her goal was assisted by Emily Morin. 

The Huskies extended their lead when Amanda Whiting scored off of an assist by Katie Boardman at the 47 minute mark of the contest. 

Amanda Whiting scored her second goal of the game for the Huskies at the 65 minute mark. 

Findlay goalkeeper Kelsea Corns took the loss in the net and had one save in the process.

The Huskies had the edge offensively with a 14-8 advantage in the shot department. 

The Oilers, who are now 5-3-1 on the year, will face GLIAC foe Northern Michigan University on Sunday, October 6 at DeHaven Field at 12 p.m.
