The University of Findlay softball team captured a pair of victories on Wednesday, March 6 in Clermont, Fla. The Oilers came away with a 2-0 win over Lynn and then defeated Felecian by a score of 4-0 in the second contest to run their record to 4-2 on the year.
Brittany Dauterman pitched a gem in the Oilers win over Lynn, throwing seven innings of scoreless ball. She allowed six hits and struck out four.
Dauterman also helped her cause at the plate, finishing 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles.
Emily Reynolds added two hits in the victory.
Bonnie Zappitelli picked up the victory on the mound in the second game, allowing seven hits in seven scoreless innings to go along with six punchouts.
Carly Borders had two hits while Jackie Messersmith drove in two runs.
