Columbus, Ohio- The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) has revealed the 2026 All-Region teams in the sport of softball. In the Midwest Region, Findlay had a trio of players named as senior Annika Bredel, junior Anna Jones, and sophomore Meghan Heinsman were all tabbed to the second team.

Senior shortstop Annika Bredel, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Player of the Year continued her standout play throughout her fourth and final season in the Orange and Black. Bredel paced Findlay with a .430 batting average, the second-highest mark in the conference, while her 65 runs scored led the G-MAC and ranked 10th in Division II this season. She totaled 71 hits, including 13 doubles and 11 home runs. A consistent presence on the bases, Bredel also posted a .547 on-base percentage, aided by a conference-leading 17 hit-by-pitches.

Junior Anna Jones, a first team all-conference selection, hit .426 for the Oilers, the third-best mark in the G-MAC. She also scored 35 runs, tallied 10 doubles, and drove in 40 runs during the season. A staple in the Oilers' outfield, Jones delivered one of the team's biggest moments in the Great Midwest Tournament when she blasted a two-run home run against Tiffin to secure the win and help propel Findlay to the Great Midwest Tournament title.

Sophomore Meghan Heinsman split time between catcher and third base for the Oilers and hit .356 on the season. The first team all-conference selection recorded 18 doubles, five home runs, and 46 RBIs. Heinsman also turned in a standout performance in the NCAA Midwest Regional against Rockhurst, scoring a season-high four runs while going 3-for-4 at the plate.
