The University of Findlay softball team lost their third round matchup in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament against Ashland University 9-1 on Saturday, May 3 at Anderson Field. 

Bonnie Zappitelli picked up the loss on the mound for the Oilers by giving up four runs in 1.1 innings. 

Jackie Messersmith scored the lone run for the Oilers when she blasted a solo homerun in the first inning.  Courtney Dwyer added a double in the contest. 

The Eagles took a 6-1 lead through three innings and never looked back as they claimed the victory. 

The Eagles dominated offensively with a 13-2 advantage in hits. 

The loss ends the Oilers tournament run as they finish the season with a 23-19 record.
