The University of Findlay women's basketball team charged past Hillsdale College on Jan. 10, winning 93-79 on the road. The win gives the Oilers a 7-5 record on the season with a 3-5 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers shot 54.7 percent (35-of-64) from the floor in the victory and canned 12-of-22 (54.5%) shot attempts from behind the three point line. Hillsdale meanwhile connected on 41.6 percent (32-of-77) of their shot attempts and held a 45-34 advantage on the boards.

Sophomore guard Karli Bonar led the way with a team-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting. She hit 5-of-7 three point attempts and also added two rebounds and two assists.

Senior forward Lacey Kessler came off the bench to provide 17 points and five rebounds in only 14 minutes of action while freshman guard Haley Horstman recorded a career-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

Senior guard Ciara Geiger added 13 points, six rebounds and three assists while senior guard Nikki Gunning had 11 points and four boards in the victory.

The Chargers were led by Morgan Blair's 20 points, six rebounds and five assists. Megan Fogt added 18 points and nine boards as well.

The Oilers will be back in action on Jan. 15 when they battle Ohio Dominican University. The game is scheduled to tip at 5:30 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio.
