The University of Findlay volleyball team continued play in the Midwest Region Crossover on Friday, Oct. 16 as they defeated Missouri S&T 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 13-25, 25-21).

The Oilers offense displayed a well-rounded performance in their second match of the day.  They were led by junior Hannah Tong with 19 kills.  Senior Andrea Roach, who hit .714% in the match, and freshman Amanda Winner also reached the double digit kill plateau with 10 kills each.

Sophomore Nickyla Garverick and senior Julie Lyons were active on both sides of the net.  Garverick finished with eight kills and two blocks, while Lyons added seven kills, hitting .700%, and a team high three blocks.

Freshman Hailee Olson paced Findlay with 48 assists.  Senior Becca Shoemaker and freshman Kara Scherger anchored the defense with nine and seven digs respectively.

The Oilers play their final match in the Midwest Region Crossover on Saturday, Oct. 17 against Lewis.  The match is scheduled to begin at 2pm.
