The University of Findlay volleyball team hosted Lake Erie College on Friday, Nov. 13 in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) matchup.  The Oilers were victorious as they swept Lake Erie 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 27-25) and boosted their record to 22-7 on the season and to 14-3 in the GLIAC.

Leading the way for the Oilers was freshman Amanda Winner who pounded 16 kills.  Junior Hannah Tong also reached the double digit kill mark with 13, while also contributing on the defensive side of the net with five blocks.

Senior Julie Lyons added six kills, six digs, and three blocks.  Sophomore Nickyla Garverick had four kills and five blocks.

Freshman Hailee Olson distributed the ball well accumulating 38 assists and senior Becca Shoemaker led the Oilers with seven digs.  Sophomore Megan Wendel added six digs and three aces for Findlay.

The Oilers return to action in Croy Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 14 for Senior Night as they host Ashland University.  The match is scheduled to begin at 4pm.
