California, PA – The University of Findlay men's soccer team traveled to Pennsylvania to face the California Vulcans on Saturday, September 1 at 5:00 PM. The Oilers were defeated with a final score of 0-1. The loss gives the Oilers a record of 0-2 while the Vulcans improve to a 1-0-1 record.
The Vulcans took an early lead scoring the first goal of the match in the 13th minute. While the Oilers took 10 shots on goal, they were unable to find the back of the net. Senior Josh Burton had 7 of the 10 shots for Findlay. Senior Nathan Sier was in goal and tallied one save.
The Oilers next match will be in Salem, West Virginia on Thursday, September 6 at 4:00 PM against Salem International University.
