Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team faced off against the Lake Erie College Storm at DeHaven Soccer Complex on Oct. 11. The Oilers dominated the first half leading them to a 3-0 win. With the win the Oilers advance to 7-3-2 overall and 7-1-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) while the Storm fall 1-10-1 overall and 0-8 in the G-MAC.
An explosive first half would seal the fate for the Oilers. Just 8 minutes into the first half senior Madison Mlsna would score a goal putting the Oilers up 1-0. Just 10 minutes later sophomore Sydney Noble would chip it over the goalkeeper's head off an assist from senior Alyssa Stark putting the Oilers up 2-0. In the 66th minute Noble would find the back of the net again off an assist from sophomore Payton Miller to give the final score of 3-0.
The Oilers remained in control throughout the whole 90 minutes of play outshooting the Storms 15-Both goalkeeper's senior Kennedy Slovak and sophomore Cat Graves would add a save to help lead the Oilers to victory.
The Oilers gear up to travel to Owensboro, Kentucky to play against the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers on Saturday Oct. 14 at 3:30pm.
