Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Findlay Wins Nine Straight | Beat Ursuline 3-0

Pepper Pike, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team traveled to face off against the Ursuline College Arrows this Wednesday, Oct. 18. After a long 90 minutes the Oilers dominated the Arrows with a 3-0 win. With the win the Oilers advanced to 9-3-2 overall and 9-1-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) while the Arrows are now 2-9-2 overall and 2-7-1 in the G-MAC. The Oilers now find themselves on a nine game win streak.  

The Oilers had a dominating first half that set the tone for the rest of the match. Just 11 minutes into the first half senior Hannah Rybicki would slide the ball past the goalkeeper off an assist from junior Ella Pugh putting the score at 1-0. With only five minutes left in the half junior Ellie Janszen would tickle the twine to give the Oilers the 2-0 lead. Just five minutes into the second half senior Madison Mlsna would find the back of the net to seal the 3-0 win for the Oilers.  

The Oilers remained in control throughout the whole match out shooting the Arrows 23-5. Sophomore Cat Graves recorded two saves to shut down the Arrows offense.  

The Oilers now look ahead to hosting the Ashland University Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 4pm out on the DeHaven Soccer Complex.
