Findlay, Ohio-
The University of Findlay women's basketball team defeated the Davenport University Panthers by a score of 60-43. The Oilers have played the Panthers four times since 2019 and have now won three of the last four matchups. With the win, Findlay improves to 3-1 on the season while Davenport falls to 1-3.

Davenport took a quick 4-0 lead to start the contest, a lead they carried for just five minutes. A three-pointer by freshman Addisyn Freeman put the Oilers ahead at the five minute mark. The quarter would continue with back-and-forth action and end deadlocked.

The second frame belonged to the Oilers as they opened the quarter with an 11-2 run, eight of the points being scored by sophomore Alyssa Ziehler. The Oilers capitalized on defense, allowing the Panther's just seven points in the quarter to enter halftime with a twelve point lead.

After the third quarter, Findlay took their largest lead at 49-30. From there, the momentum belonged to the home team as the Orange and Black took the 17 point victory.

Findlay hit 21-57 (36.8%) from the floor including 6-of-26 from deep. The Oilers looked much better from the charity stripe today going 12-of-15 (80%). Meanwhile Davenport went just 17-of-60 from the floor (28.3%) which included a mere 1-of-19 (5.3%) from beyond the arc. A key difference between the teams came off the bench. Findlay's bench outscored Davenport's 27-14.

Ziehler was the headline for Findlay, scoring ten points in the game while going 5-of-6 from the floor. Defensively, the Clinton, Ohio native blocked four shots in the contest. She also grabbed six rebounds.

Freeman and junior Mckenna Stephens both recorded eight points. Stephens led the team in rebounding, recording eight boards, three of which were offensive.

The Oilers will be back in action Tuesday, Nov. 21 as they take on Edinboro in Croy Physical Education Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
