Grand Rapids, Mich.- The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams traveled to Michigan to compete in the Calvin Winter Invite on Thursday, Nov. 30. The morning session consisted of prelims to determine seeding in the finals this evening. The prelims were highlighted by Rafael Lozano who set a program record in the 500 free with a time of 4:34.24.

Notable Finishes
Men
The seventh-ranked Oilers competed against strong competition that featured two teams ranked in the top-14 of the NCAA Division II rankings in the sixth-ranked Grand Valley State and fourteenth-ranked Northern Michigan. Also ranked fourth in NCAA Division III is host Calvin. Through day one, the Oilers are in third place with 427 points. Grand Valley State leads with 638 points.

The women's squad also faced some of the best teams in the nation in seventh-ranked Northern Michigan and twelfth-ranked Grand Valley State. Also ranked 20th in Division III is host, Calvin. Through day one, Findlay is in third with 430 points. Grand Valley State leads with 539 points.
