The University of Findlay women's soccer team has advanced to the 2023 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Women's Soccer Championship semifinals. The Oilers, seeded fourth in the event now face the regular season champions, and number-one seed, Northwood University.
The contest, which kicks off at 10:30 am on Thursday, Nov. 9, will take place at Dean Field in Midland, Mich. The semifinal match pits the Oilers against the Timberwolves. In their historical matchups, the two teams have crossed paths 26 times, with the Oilers holding the historical advantage, boasting a 16-9-1 record. However, less than two weeks ago, Findlay experienced a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Northwood.

2023 Findlay Soccer Coaching Staff
The Oilers are 11-4-4 on the season and hold a 10-2-2 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play. Findlay, ranked tenth in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Poll, picked up an impressive 3-0 victory in the first round of the Great Midwest Women's Soccer Championship, defeating the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans by a score of 3-0.
Findlay enters the semifinal match, averaging 1.684 goals per game, fifth-best in the conference. However, they hold their opponents to an average of .68 goals per contest, ranking second-best in the conference.
Senior Hannah Rybicki is at the forefront of the Oilers' offensive efforts, leading the Orange and Black with nine goals scored this season. She is averaging .474 goals per contest. Senior

Sydney Noble each have six goals scored this season while sophomore
Payton Miller has three. Notably, six additional Oilers have made goal contributions, resulting in a well-balanced offensive performance.
In goal, senior Kennedy Slovak has nearly 1,600 minutes played in nineteen games, recording 40 saves. She has six shutouts to her credit.

2023 Northwood Soccer Coaching Staff
The Timberwolves enter the tournament with a 14-3-2 record on the season with a 12-1-1 mark in conference play. Northwood, ranked fifth in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Poll, advances to the semifinals after a 1-0 win over Ohio Dominican. Their win over ODU marked their 200th program win as well as their first ever conference tournament win in program history.
Northwood enters the tournament averaging 1.895 goals per contest, the third best in the conference. Notably, they carry a .816 save percentage, ranking third in the conference.
Senior Juliana Paoletti leads their offense, recording a team-high eight goals this season. Senior Brooke Honeycutt and sophomore Carly Boyd both have five goals to their name. Impressively, eight other Timberwolves have found the back of the net this year.
In goal for Northwood, is freshman Lindsay Jacobs who has recorded over 1,700 minutes in goal. She has allowed eighteen goals in nineteen games, recording a save percentage of .813.
