Men’s Soccer Unable to Overcome Pioneers

Canton, Ohio - The University of Findlay men's soccer team traveled to Malone University to take on the Pioneers this Wednesday, Sept. 27. Despite a hard-fought battle, Malone came out on top, with a 1-0 victory over Findlay. With this loss the Oilers record now moves to 3-2-3 on the season and 1-2-2 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play while Malone's record moves to 2-4-2 and 1-2-2 in the G-MAC.
 
The Oilers took 12 shots during play junior Maciej Gaszynski took four shots, junior Christian Palushaj and senior Zach Lauron each took two shots, senior Mitchell Hanosh, freshman Carson Oberski, freshman Tyler Pawlicki, sophomore Ryan Dickinson and senior Nick McCracken took one shot each.
 
UF faced 10 shots during the game and senior goalie, Andrew Boulton made one save during play.
 
The Oilers outshot the Pioneers 12-10 and Malone received more fouls than Findlay (10-8). Both teams were given three yellow cards each, all for the Oilers in the second half to Andrew Boulton, Oliver Lindstrom and Carson Oberski.
 
The Oilers will return home DeHaven Field to play the Ashland University Eagles on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 1pm.
