Ashland, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams, both coming off tenth-place finishes at last year's NCAA Division II National Championship, returned to the pool on Friday, Oct. 18 with a dual meet at Ashland University. The Oilers kicked off the season with a pair of wins, winning all but three swimming events on the night as the women secured a 198-98 victory and the men won 183.5-103.5.
"Today was a great start to the year. I'm very impressed by our energy and attitude after a hard week of training. We have an exciting and long year ahead so picking up two wins to get the season started is the best thing we could have done."
