Women's Soccer Drops Contest at Northwood

Midland, Mich.- The University of Findlay women's soccer team traveled to Midland, Mich to compete against the Northwood University Timberwolves Wednesday, Oct. 2nd. The Oilers faced a tough loss on the road, falling 2-0 to NU. With the loss the Oilers dropped 2-3-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play and 2-4-2 overall. While the Timberwolves advance to 2-0-2 in the G-MAC and 4-0-4 overall.  

Despite the loss the Oilers offense remained in control throughout the match recording 16 shots, nine on target to the Timberwolves' nine, with five on target. The Oilers offense was led by senior Ellie Janszen who recorded two shots on goal. Hannah Rybicki, Payton Miller, Avary Zeisloft, and Sydney Noble each contributed one shot on goal to try and close the gap between NU.  

Senior goalkeeper Audrey Gibson-Zweifel recorded two saves to slow the Timberwolves offense, only allowing two to slide by her.  

The Oilers will be back in action Wednesday, Oct. 9th as they host the Kentucky Wesleyan University Panthers at DeHaven soccer field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
