Women's Soccer Uses Huge Second Half to Cruise By Panthers

Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team picked up a dominating win against the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The 5-0 win gives the Oilers a 3-4-1 record on the year with a 3-3-0 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). With the loss, the Panthers fall to 3-7-0 on the year with a 2-4-0 record in the league.

After a quiet first half, the Oilers put together their best offensive performance this year. Junior Sydney Noble kicked off the scoring frenzy for the Oilers with a goal just two minutes into the second half. Senior Ellie Janszen added one more in the 60th minute from an assist by Noble. Just seven minutes later, senior Hannah Rybicki added a third goal for the Orange and Black. Nine minutes passed before junior Ava Ayers added a fourth. The Oilers capped off the half with a final goal in the 79th minute by sophomore Kylie Recker, the first of her career.

Not to be overshadowed, junior Cat Graves put together a clean sheet for the first time in her career. The Lexington, Ky. native made two saves to record the shutout.
