Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team hosted the Northwood University Timberwolves Thursday Oct 31st. After a long windy game the Oilers took down the undefeated Timberwolves 1-0. The Oilers advance to 8-3-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play and 8-4-3 overall. While the Timberwolves fall to 8-1-3 in G-MAC play and 10-1-5 overall.
The Findlay offense was led by freshman Avary Zeisloft after finding the back of the net in the 52nd minute off an assist from senior Hannah Rybicki giving the Oilers the 1-0 lead.
The Oilers outshot the Timberwolves 15 to 10. Junior goalkeeper Cat Graves would record five saves to shut down the Timberwolves offense.
The Oilers will be back in action Saturday, Nov 2nd as they travel to Pepper Pike, Ohio and face off against the Ursuline College Arrows. Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm.
