Indianapolis, Ind.- On Monday, November 4, the NCAA released the second round of their regional rankings for each of the four super regions in football. The University of Findlay football team, with a 8-1Â record, finds itself ranked in the seventh spot in the Super Region One ranking. Teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10), Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), and Mountain East Conference (MEC) are all taken into consideration for 10 ranked positions.
At 9-0, Charleston, ranked sixth in the country, holds the top spot in the region. The only other schools from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) on the list are Ashland, which currently sits in fifth in the poll, and Tiffin at ninth. In Super Region One, the top four teams, along with the Oilers, are all ranked in the AFCA Division II National Poll. The teams that reside in the top-25 are #3 Kutztown, #6 Charleston, #10 Slippery Rock, #18 California Pa., and #24 Findlay.
Findlay's last appearance in the Super Region One Poll came just last week as they were "under consideration". This is the second of four regional rankings that will be released before the NCAA Division II Playoff fields are announced on Nov. 17.
