Midland, Mich. - The University of Findlay volleyball team traveled to Midland, Mich. to compete against the Northwood University Timberwolves on Friday, Nov. 8. The Oilers fell to the Timberwolves by a score of 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 16-25, 18-25). With the loss, they drop 17-7 on the year and 9-3 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). While Northwood improves to 18-7 and 9-3 in the G-MAC.
Findlay and Northwood remained back-and-forth for the majority of the first set, until the Oilers put together an eight-point run to wrap up the first set 25-20.
In the second set, Findlay trailed 9-13 until winning six points in a row closing the gap to take the 15-13 lead. Northwood fought back to reclaim the lead, winning by a narrow score of 25-22.
Northwood took an early lead at 14-6, and eight point lead one they kept the entire set, ultimately winning the third by nine at 25-16.
Timberwolves remained in control throughout the whole fourth set. Findlay went on a four point run to catch up the Timberwolves 13-10. Ultimately Northwood would take the final set 25-18 securing the 3-1 win over the Oilers.
As a team, the Oilers hit just .050 while the Timberwolves hit .197.

Abria Lomax contributed two blocks on the night.

Emma White had 35 assists, 12 digs, 2 aces, and 2 blocks. Senior
Ava Doster recorded 14 digs and one ace while sophomore
Miya Ellerbrock had 10 digs.
Findlay is back on the court on Saturday, Nov. 9 as they travel to Hillsdale, Mich. to compete against the Hilldale College Chargers. That game will begin at 5:00 pm.
