Grand Rapids, Mich.- The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving team traveled to Grand Rapids, Mich. to compete in day one of the Calvin Winter Invite on Dec. 5. After day one of competition both teams had several notable finishes hitting multiple NCAA Standard times.  

Women's Results: 

• 200 Yard Freestyle Relay: 1st – 1:31.69 (Jones, Melnyk, Scheibelhoffer, Grubbs) NCAA Provisional Mark / School Record

• 500 Yard Freestyle: 6th- 5:02.95 (Sophie Busby) NCAA B Standard 

• 200 Yard IM: 3rd – 2:05.08 (Sofia Lesmes Montes) NCAA B Standard 

• 200 Yard IM: 5th – 2:06.55 (Katie Susi)  

• 50 Yard Freestyle: 1st – 23.20 (Sasha Melnyk) NCAA B Standard 

• 50 Yard Freestyle: 3rd – 23.38 (Troie Grubbs) NCAA B Standard / School Record

• 50 Yard Freestyle: 6th – 23.51 (Olivia Scheibelhoffer) NCAA B Standard

The swimming and diving team will be back in action tomorrow December 6th as they head into day two of the Calvin Winter Invite. Action will begin at 10am
