Findlay Falls in Season Opener #13 Maryville

Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 25-3 in their first home game of the season against Maryville University on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Armstrong Sports Complex. With the loss, the Oilers record falls to 0-1 on the season. Meanwhile, Maryville improves to a perfect 2-0 on the year.
 
The Oilers were outshot 38-7 in the game as junior Olivia Alvarado, senior Erin Kodger and junior Emma Murrell scored Findlay's three lone goals. Sophomore Tessa Chuba secured five draw controls, two groundballs and caused three turnovers. Sophomore Brinlee Barry and freshman Rebecca Chmiel each had three draw controls and seniors Paige Falk and Izzy Murphy-Morrow each had an assist to Oiler's goals.
Findlay outsaved Maryville 10-3 as senior goalie Olivia Bakowski made ten saves during play.
The Oilers will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 27 with they travel to Colorado to play Colorado Springs at 4pm.
