Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's tennis team opened up Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play on Sunday, March 24, defeating Walsh University by a score of 4-2.
The Oilers started the day with a dominating effort in doubles, winning all three matches to take the point.
Senior Andrew Codita was the first to finish his singles match, defeating his opponent in just 51 minutes. The Pickering, Ontario native won at fourth-singles by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
At first singles, freshman Arthur Bord won a three-set thriller, defeating his opponent 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.
Walsh won at second and third singles to make the score 3-2 in favor of the Oilers, but freshman Maneo Gaborin clinched the match at sixth singles, winning 6-3, 7-5.
