Hillsdale, Mich. - The University of Findlay men's tennis team was in Hillsdale, Michigan on Friday, April 12 for a match up against the Chargers of Hillsdale College. The Oilers came away with a 6-1 victory to pick up the team's sixth-consecutive victory and improve to 6-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.
Findlay's six-match win streak is the longest since the Oilers joined the G-MAC in 2017 and is the first time the team has won six in a row since 2014.
The Oilers won the doubles point by picking up victories at first and third doubles.
With a 1-0 lead,
Arthur Bord handled his business at first singles, winning 6-3, 6-2 while
Luigi Bove was a 6-4, 7-5 winner at second singles. Wins by
Andrew Codita and
Dallas Ramsey concluded the match, with Codita's match serving as the clinch, a battle that lasted three-and-a-half hours.
