Women's Soccer Sails Past Lake Erie Storm

Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team hosted the Lake Erie College Storm Thursday, Sep. 26th. The Oilers had a goal in each half leading to a 2-0 victory over the Storm. With the win the Oilers move up 2-1-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play and 2-2-2 overall while LEC drops 0-3-0 in G-MAC play and 1-5-0 overall.  

The Oilers offense dominated recording 21 shots to the Storms one. In the 16th minute, senior Hannah Rybicki would score the first goal for the Oilers off a penalty kick to put UF ahead 1-0. Just six minutes into the second half junior Sydney Noble would find the back of the net off an assist from Hannah Rybicki to give the Oilers the 2-0 victory.  

Junior goalkeeper Audrey Gibson-Zweifel recorded one save on the day to shut down the Storms' only shot.  

The Oilers will travel to North Canton, Ohio Saturday Sep. 28 as they take on the Walsh University Cavaliers.
