Grand Rapids, Mich. – The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up action at the most competitive meet of the regular season on Saturday, Dec. 6, the Calvin Winter Invite, which was hosted by Calvin University over the past three days. The women, ranked No. 11 in the country, finished third of six while the men, ranked No. 10, finished fourth.
Women
- 200 Breast – Katie Susi kept up her strong meet, meeting the NCAA B cut in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:14.32, winning the race. That time is a new school and meet record and the fourth-fastest time in D2 this year.
- 200 Butterfly – Another big time swim came in the 200 butterfly where Emily Mears-Bentley won with a time of 1:58.41, also setting new school and meet records. That time is also the fastest in the country this season.
- 100 Free – Meeting the NCAA B standard with a runner-up finish was Troie Grubbs. She touched the wall in 50.67. Olivia Scheibelhoffer took fourth in that race with a time of 52.17.
- 400 Free Relay – Findlay's team of Emily Mears-Bentley, Olivia Scheibelhoffer, Macee Reckard, and Troie Grubbs finished runner-up with an NCAA provisional time of 3:21.66. In the leadoff spot, Mears-Bentley set the new program record in the 100 free with a time of 49.38 which is an NCAA A cut, automatically qualifying her for the national championship in the event.
Men
- 1650 Free – Continuing to fly through the water in the distance swims, Sebastian Camacho took first in the 1650 free with a time of 15:15.56 which is an NCAA B cut, although not his fastest swim of the year. Also meeting the NCAA B standard was Matteo Filippi who finished fourth in the race with a time of 15:31.57.
- 200 Backstroke – Meeting the NCAA B standard with a time of 1:44.02 was Randy Keener who took first place. That time is a new program record and the second-fastest time in the DII this season.
- 400 Free Relay – Taking second was Findlay's team of Camilo Marrugo, Sebastian Camacho, Santiago Arteaga, and Juan Blandon Torres who finished the race in a time of 2:55.13. That time meets the NCAA provisional standard and sets a new program record. In that race, Marrugo set Findlay's program record in the 100 free with a time of 43.32, an NCAA B cut.
- 100 Free – Finishing fourth in the race with a time of 44.64 was Santiago Arteaga, a mark that meets the NCAA B cut.
- 200 Butterfly – Another NCAA B cut came from Juan Blandon Torres who took third with a 1:47.64.
