Ellis and Ziehler Named First Team All-Conference

Findlay, Ohio - On Thursday, March 6, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced the women's basketball all-conference selections for the 2024-25 season. Two Findlay players earned recognition as graduate senior Kate Ellis and junior Alyssa Ziehler each earned first-team selections after leading the Oilers to a 20-10 record thus far, the first 20-win season since 2019.

Kate Ellis has earned first-team all-league for the second time in her career after picking up the same honor last season. The Perrysburg, Ohio native had a special year as she led the team at 15.0 points per game and ranked third on the team with 4.0 rebounds per game. Her scoring ranked fourth in the G-MAC while her shooting percentage of .514 ranked fifth. Ellis started in all 30 games for Findlay, scoring in double-figures in 26 of those games including a stretch of 20 consecutive such games. Ellis currently has 1,382 career points which ranks sixth all-time at Findlay, to go along with 464 rebounds.

Alyssa Ziehler, a second-team pick last season, earned first-team all-G-MAC this season after averaging 11.4 points per game and 7.1 rebounds. Her rebounding average ranks sixth in the G-MAC and is one of just four players in the league to average at least 11 points and seven rebounds. This year the Green, Ohio native shot .527 from the floor. To this point, Ziehler has scored 862 points and grabbed 513 rebounds, putting her on pace next season to finish in the top-15 in program history in both scoring and rebounding.
