Columbus, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's golf team, ranked fifth in the latest Women's Golf Coaches' Association (WGCA) national poll, concluded play at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational on Sunday, April 13 in Columbus, Ohio. The event was hosted by Ohio State University, and played on Ohio State's Scarlet Golf Course, a par 72 layout playing at 6,319 yards this week.
The Oilers finished tied for sixth place after 54-holes of play after rounds of 319 (+31), 306 (+18), and 301 (+13) for a three-round total of 926 (+62). The field consisted of 13 teams, 11 of which are NCAA Division I programs. The only other Division II team in the field is Grand Valley State, ranked tenth in DII. Michigan State, ranked 25th in the country, rounds out the nationally ranked teams in the field.
Ohio State University, ranked 17th in the NCAA Division I poll, won the tournament at 866 (+2).
Senior Mary Kelly Mulcahy paced Findlay through a difficult tournament, battling both a demanding course and a strong field. She finished tied for 14th after rounds of 79 (+7), 74 (+2), and 74 (+2) for a 54-hole total of 227 (+11).
Junior Ellie Yeazell recorded a top-35 finish carding rounds of 81 (+9), 80 (+8), and a team-low 72 (E) for a 54-hole total of 233 (+17).

Findlay will be back in action on Thursday, April 24 for the Great Midwest Championship. That event will be held in Florence, Ind. at Belterra Golf Club.
