Findlay Oilers (32-12, 19-5 G-MAC) | #3 Seed
2025 Findlay Softball Coaching Staff
At the end of the regular season, the Oilers boast a 32-12 overall record (.727) and a 19-5 mark (.792) in conference play, marking their fourth consecutive 30-win season. Picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll, Findlay exceeded expectations by placing third in the conference standings. They'll open postseason play against sixth-seeded Ashland.

The Oilers enter the tournament with a .293 team batting average, fourth-best in the conference. Their 356 hits rank sixth, while their .435 slugging percentage is second overall. Defensively, Findlay holds a .967 fielding percentage, good for third in the conference.

Key Players
Junior shortstop Annika Bredel, named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Player of the Year Watchlist, is a standout leader for the team. A first-team all-conference selection last season, Bredel currently leads the squad with a .385 batting average and a .484 on-base percentage. She has recorded 52 hits, including 17 doubles, one triple, and five home runs. A major threat on the base paths, she has stolen 18 bases in 20 attempts, ranking sixth in the conference. With 18 career home runs, Bredel sits third all-time at the University of Findlay, just four shy of the school record. Her 45 runs scored this season rank second in the G-MAC and tie her for third in Findlay's single-season history.

Sophomore outfielder Anna Jones has emerged as a key contributor this season, providing a reliable presence at the plate with a .339 batting average. She has tallied 37 hits in 109 at-bats, including 11 extra-base hits. Fellow sophomore Joslynne Frazier has also been a consistent force offensively, splitting time between designated player duties and infield roles for the Oilers. Frazier leads the team with seven home runs, a mark that ranks third in the conference.

Pitching Staff
Junior Kayla Dykin leads Findlay with an impressive 0.84 ERA, a 13-3 record, and 62 strikeouts over 83 innings. Her ERA ranks sixth in NCAA Division II this season and is just shy of the program record of 0.83, set by Chelsea McManaway in 2016. Dykin has made major strides this year, lowering her career ERA from 4.30 to 2.69.

Senior Emma Jones, who leads the team with 104 innings pitched, enters the tournament with an 11-5 record and 63 strikeouts. Her 247 career strikeouts rank fifth in program history, putting her just 18 shy of the all-time record.

The Oilers' third key pitcher is junior Alexys Antal, a first team all-conference selection last season. She holds a 6-4 record with 71.1 innings pitched, a 4.42 ERA, and 42 strikeouts.

Quote from Head Coach Dani Lowe
"Our team enters this year's conference tournament with a wealth of experience. This season, our focus has been internal, prioritizing our own development and performance over analyzing specific opponents. A key to our success has been the strong belief in and support for one another, fostering a cohesive and driven unit. We are incredibly proud of the team's accomplishments, having built a season filled with victories both on and off the field, reflecting our commitment to excellence in all aspects."
