Indianapolis, Ind. – The NCAA announced its' selections for participation in the 2025 Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championship on Tuesday, May 13. The University of Findlay women's team, ranked seventh in the country, will send six athletes while the men will send five.
Highlighting the women's participants are sophomore Leah Smith and senior Jordan Taylor who will each be running in four different events during the championship. Smith and Taylor have the second and twelfth fastest times in the 100m dash in the country and also have the fifth and eighth fastest times in the 200m dash, respectively.
Kylie Ray qualified individually in the 400 hurdles with the third fastest time in Division II and also joins Smith, Taylor, and Taylor Ivory in both the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay, both of which are ranked third.
Brooke Coulter has qualified fifth in the shot put and should contend for a spot on the podium while in pole vault, Colleen Steinmetz goes into the championship ranked ninth.
Nate Buschur is Findlay's highest ranked men's athlete, qualifying for pole vault with the ninth-best height in the country. Not far behind is Kage Hefner who is ranked 14th in that event.
In hammer throw, Colin Warner and Leyton Nossa will be going to Colorado ranked 14th and 19th, respectively. Eyan Wilson has qualified shot put ranked 22nd.
The championship will be held May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colorado at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
