Oilers Kick Off Outdoor Slate at Yellow Jacket Collegiate

Cedarville, Ohio- The University of Findlay track and field teams got the outdoor season started on Saturday, March 28 at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open hosted by Cedarville University.

Notable Results
Women

Victoria Harvey (Jr.) won the pole vault with a mark of 4.09m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.
Lauren Sattler (So.) won the 800m run with a time of 2:16.45.
Colleen Steinmetz (So.) finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.09m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.
Jessica Hoban (Sr.) took second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.71m.
Brayden Snider (Fr.) placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 3.94m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.
Elyza Long (Fr.) finished fourth in the 1500m run with a time of 4:44.17.
Gloria Mengolo (So.) placed fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.45.
Olivia Fenbert (Jr.) finished fifth in the 5000m run with a time of 17:48.03.
Taylor Aldredge (Fr.) finished fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.58m.

Men

Eyan Wilson (Sr.) won the discus with a mark of 49.56m. He also won the shot put with an NCAA provisional standard throw of 17.02m.
Sherron Jones (Sr.) won the 200m dash with a time of 21.30, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.
Alex Mutchler (Sr.) finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 5.17m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.
Charlie Schmiesing (So.) placed third in the discus with a mark of 48.98m.
Evan Combs (Fr.) placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 5.02m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.
KJ Upshaw (Sr.) finished fourth in the 100m dash with a time of 10.90 and fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.91.
Justin Hattingh (So.) finished fifth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.35.
Ty Rosengarten (Fr.) finished fifth in the 800m run with a time of 1:56.91.
Nate Buschur (Jr.) placed fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.87m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.
Owen Ackerman (So.) tied for fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.95m.
Collin Warner (Sr.) placed fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 57.46m, meeting the NCAA provisional standard.

Findlay will be back in action Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4 as they compete in the Oliver Nikoloff Invite hosted by the University of Cincinnati.
