Junior Annika Bredel, a two-time all-region honoree by both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), played a pivotal role in leading the Oilers to their second-ever NCAA Division II Midwest Regional appearance. The Wellington, Ohio native led the team with a .373 batting average and a .481 on-base percentage, which ranked second in the conference. She scored 47 runs, the second-most in the league and the third-highest total for a single season in program history. A first team all-conference selection, she tallied 56 hits, including 17 doubles, which ranked fourth in the league, and added six home runs. She also stole 22 bases, adding another threat to her offensive game. Starting all 50 games at shortstop, Bredel recorded 86 putouts and 78 assists while committing just six errors, finishing with a .965 fielding percentage.
