Washington, Mich. — The No. 4 ranked University of Findlay women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Wayne State Warrior Invitational on Monday, Sept. 22, at The Orchards Golf Club in Washington, Michigan.
After 36 holes, the Oilers sit in second place with team scores of 295 (+7) and 298 (+10). The competitive field features programs from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference as well as strong opponents from the East Region.
Senior
Hayley Dye paced the Oilers with consistent rounds of 73 (+1), placing her inside the top five individually. Senior
Ellie Yeazell followed closely with scores of 75 (+3) and 74 (+2), while junior
Ashleigh Duflo carded 74 (+2), 75 (+3). Freshman
Emma Myers contributed rounds of 73 (+1) and 76 (+4) to round out the team's counting scores. Yeazell, Duflo, and Myers are all tied for sixth.
Sophomore
Gracie James posted rounds of 79 (+7) and 76 (+4), while individual competitors freshman
Paige Weiss carded back-to-back 78 (+6) and sophomore
Mia Ringger with rounds of 82 (+10) and 79 (+7).
The final round will be played tomorrow, Tuesday, September 23.
