Washington, Mich. – The University of Findlay women's golf team, ranked No. 4 in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division II poll, picked up their second win of the fall at the Wayne State Warrior Invitational on Tuesday, September 23. The 54-hole, two-day event featured East Region opponents and G-MAC teams.
The University of Findlay women's golf team showcased depth and resilience on their way to claiming the team championship at the Wayne State Warrior Invitational. The Oilers posted rounds of 295 (+7), 298 (+10), and 292 (+4) for a three-round total of 885 (+21). Tied with 11th-ranked Grand Valley State at the conclusion of play at 21-over, Findlay secured the title on the fifth-player tiebreaker, highlighting the strength of their entire lineup.
Freshman
Emma Myers delivered a breakout performance, tying for first place individually, but ultimately losing in a four-way playoff for the title. She fired a final-round 70 (-2), the lowest score of the day and her personal-best round as an Oiler, finishing at +3 overall. Her consistency and clutch play down the stretch were instrumental in lifting Findlay to victory.
Senior
Hayley Dye provided steady leadership, finishing tied for fifth place at +4 after carding a final-round 74 (+2). This marked her second top-10 finish of the fall season, continuing her strong play in 2025.
Junior
Ashleigh Duflo turned in another strong performance, finishing seventh at +5, while senior
Ellie Yeazell added valuable depth with a top-10 finish at +9.
The Oilers will be back in action on Monday, September 29 as they travel to Allendale, Mich. to play in 17
th Annual Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite.
