Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's soccer team dominated Lake Erie in a 5-0 victory on Thursday, October 1, earning its second consecutive win and improving to 6-2-2 overall and 3-1-2 in G-MAC play.
The Oilers opened the scoring just 18 minutes into the match when senior
Taylir Lynam found the back of the net. Lynam's goal proved to be the only goal of the first half, as Findlay recorded nine shots and earned six corner kicks before halftime.
Findlay came out strong in the second half, scoring twice within the opening 10 minutes. Sophomore
Addison Williams scored back-to-back goals, with Lynam providing the assist on both. Senior
Allie Arnold then added a goal of her own, assisted by fifth-year
Raegan Smith. Senior
Kylie Recker capped the scoring with Findlay's fifth goal of the match. Sophomore
Rylie Debacker and junior
Mari Stojcevski combined to provide the assist.
The Oilers applied constant pressure to the visitors throughout the second half, adding 12 shots to finish with 21 for the match.
With her two goals, Williams now has seven goals on the season.

Cat Graves played 70 minutes, while junior
Peyton Delongchamp entered for the final 20 minutes and helped secure the shutout.
Findlay will look to extend its winning streak when the Oilers travel to Ashland on Saturday, October 3, for a 6:30 p.m. match.
