Oilers Tie Northwood in Regular Season Finale

Midland, Mich. - The University of Findlay women's soccer team battled to a frustrating 0-0 draw on the road against Northwood on Tuesday, October 27. With the tie, the Oilers move to 12-2-4 overall and 9-1-4 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers controlled much of the first 45 minutes, recording 10 shots, five of which forced saves from the Timberwolves' goalkeeper. Findlay's offensive pressure limited Northwood to just four shots, with two on target.

In the second half, the Oilers continued to create scoring opportunities, recording 11 shots and forcing four saves. Meanwhile, Northwood managed four shots, with just one on target. Both teams had opportunities to secure all three points, but neither could find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 draw.

Leading the offensive efforts for the Oilers were senior Taylir Lynam, junior Megan Hollar, and sophomore Addison Williams, who each recorded three shots on target throughout the 90 minutes.
Fifth-year Cat Graves played all 90 minutes in goal, making three saves to keep the Timberwolves scoreless and secure the shutout.

The Oilers conclude regular-season play and now turn their attention to the G-MAC Tournament, where they have secured the third seed. Findlay will host Walsh in the quarterfinals at DeHaven Field on Saturday, October 31, with the game time to be determined.
