#4 Women's Golf Finishes Third at Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate

Monroe, North Carolina - The No. 4 University of Findlay women's golf team concluded play on Tuesday, March 10, at the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate hosted by Wingate University in Monroe, North Carolina. The Oilers finished third overall at 16-over par, posting rounds of 295 (+7), 290 (+2), and 295 (+7) in the final round.

The highly competitive field featured eight of the top 10 ranked Division II women's teams in the country. Host No. 1 Wingate University captured the team title at 11-under par, while No. 2 Dallas Baptist University finished second at 6-over par. Findlay secured third place, finishing three strokes ahead of No. 3 Anderson University, who placed fourth.

The trio of junior Ashleigh Duflo, senior Ellie Yeazell, and sophomore Gracie James each carded final-round scores of 73 (+1). Duflo finished the tournament at even par to place fifth overall, earning All-Tournament Team honors, her fifth top-five performance of the season.

Sophomore Avery Thompson and senior Hayley Dye rounded out Findlay's scoring lineup with final-round scores of 76 (+4) and 78 (+6), respectively.

Freshman Emma Myers (77) and junior Audrey Keplar (80) also competed as individuals for the Oilers.

The Oilers will return to action on Monday, March 16, when they host the Findlay Spring Invite at Boone's Trace National Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky.
