The Tournament
The 2025-26 Great Midwest Women's Basketball Championship returns for its 13th edition, which began with the conference's inaugural season in 2012–13. The eight-team tournament field is determined by regular-season winning percentage. Quarterfinal action will be held Tuesday, March 3, with four games hosted by the higher seeds. Winners advance to the semifinals on Friday, March 6, hosted by the highest remaining seed, with the championship game set for Saturday, March 7. The tournament winner will receive the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.

2026 Findlay Basketball Coaching Staff

The Oilers closed the regular season with 15 wins, highlighted by an eight-game winning streak. Despite a strong surge midway through the year, they dropped four of their final five contests. They did, however, end the season on a high note with a victory over Ashland — a perennial power in women's basketball — securing their first win over the Eagles in more than a decade.

Through the regular season, the Oilers rank eighth in the conference in scoring at 65.3 points per game while shooting 40.5% from the field. Defensively, they hold opponents to 65.1 points per contest and force an impressive 14.6 turnovers per game. Findlay also ranks fourth in three-point percentage at 32.1%, providing a consistent threat from beyond the arc.

Findlay's offense is led by senior Alyssa Ziehler, who averages 14.9 points per game and has scored in double figures in all but five contests this season. She ranks sixth in the conference in total scoring with 402 points over 27 games and has accumulated 1,264 career points, placing her 12th on Findlay's all-time scoring list. Ziehler shoots an efficient 52.9% from the field while also contributing 9.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 1.3 steals per game. Recently, she became just the sixth player in program history to record both 1,000 career points and 700 career rebounds.

Junior MacKenzie Schulz has emerged as a key contributor this season, averaging 11.7 points per game. She ranks second in the G-MAC in three-point percentage at 36.8% and fourth in three-pointers made per game at 2.2. Schulz also adds 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest, rounding out her all-around production.

Fellow juniors Allie Stockton and Taylor Stanley pace the team in assists, with Stockton averaging 2.2 per game and Stanley close behind at 2.0. Stockton also contributes 8.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while leading the team with 2.3 steals per contest.

Findlay has not won a G-MAC Tournament game since the 2021-22 season, a quarterfinal victory against Cedarville. In G-MAC tournament openers, the Oilers have a record of 4-3, but of those four semifinal appearances, have advanced to the championship game just once. That trip came back in 2017-18, Findlay's first year in the conference.
