Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay lacrosse team fell to the Lewis Flyers by a score of 13-6 on Wednesday, March 25. With the result, the Oilers move to 4-5 overall on the season while Lewis improves to 6-3 overall.
Findlay got off to a strong start, jumping out to a 2-0 lead with goals from sophomore

Natalie Wright. Lewis answered late in the first quarter and then took control in the second, outscoring the Oilers 8-3 in the second quarter to take a 9-5 lead into halftime.
The Oilers cut into the deficit early in the third quarter with a man-up goal from Chmiel to make it 9-6, but that would be as close as the Oilers would get. Lewis closed the game on a 4-0 run across the final two quarters to secure the victory.
Chmiel led the way offensively for the Oilers with a hat trick, while Dillon added two goals and an assist. Freshman
Ella Predina also found the back of the net, and Wright dished out a team-high two assists.
Defensively, sophomore
Caroline Weber and sophomore
Josie Owens split time in goal. Weber made four saves while Owens made five during her time on the field. The Oilers held advantages in ground balls (19-15) and draw controls (11-9), but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities offensively.
Findlay will look to bounce back as they resume conference play Saturday, March 28 at home against Northwood.
