Indianapolis, Ind. - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its' selections for the 2026 Men's Basketball All-Conference teams on Friday, March 6 ahead of the conference tournament semifinal games. University of Findlay seniors
Mason Brandt and
Mekhi Elmore were each named to the second team. This is the first time either have been selected for all-conference honors in their careers at Findlay.
Brandt, a native a Leipsic, Ohio, averaged 10.1 points and a team-high 5.7 rebounds in 23.1 minutes per game, also starting all 29 contests. He shot 52.5% overall, 41.5% on 3-pointers and 66.7% from the line, adding 36 steals and 10 blocks. Brandt's top outing came in a 104-105 double-overtime loss at Ashland on Jan. 5, when he scored a season-high 28 points with four 3-pointers and 10-of-12 free throws. He reached double figures in 17 games, including 19 points in a 96-76 win over Tiffin on Feb. 7 and 19 at Walsh on Dec. 11. Brandt frequently dominated the glass, grabbing a season-high 11 rebounds against Northwood on Dec. 13 and leading or tying for the team high in rebounds in 14 games.
Elmore, who came to UF from Dayton, Ohio, averaged 12.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists while starting all 29 games for the Oilers. He shot 47.8% from the field, 38.1% from 3-point range and 81.9% at the free-throw line, leading the team with 48 steals. Elmore caught fire in mid-January, averaging 22.8 points over a five-game stretch that included a career-high 31 points on 11-of-20 shooting in a 94-99 loss to Lake Erie on Jan. 15 and 26 points in a 106-92 win over Ohio Dominican two days later. He also had 21 points in an 84-78 victory at Lake Erie on Jan. 24 and 20 points against Hillsdale on Jan. 22. Defensively, Elmore posted six steals against Olivet on Dec. 30 and five at Northwood on Feb. 12.
