Ziehler and Schulz Earn All-G-MAC Honors

Indianapolis, Ind. - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its' selections for the 2026 Women's Basketball All-Conference teams on Friday, March 6 ahead of the conference tournament semifinal games. Senior Alyssa Ziehler was named first team while junior MacKenzie Schulz earned second team. This is Ziehler's third all-conference selection, second first-team honor, while Schulz is making her all-conference debut. 

Ziehler, a native Clinton, Ohio, averaged 14.7 points and a team-high 9.5 rebounds while starting all 28 games for the Oilers, who are 15-13 overall and went 9-11 in the G-MAC. She shot 52.9% from the field, fourth-best in the conference, and added 36 steals and 18 blocks on the year. Ziehler posted several dominant performances, including a season-high 24 points against Ashland on Feb. 28, 23 points at Tiffin on Jan. 8, 22 points versus Ursuline on Feb. 5 and 22 points against Lake Erie on Jan. 15.  Ziehler was particularly hot late in the season, averaging 20.3 points over her final four games in February. In her career, Ziehler has amassed 1,274 points which ranks 12th all-time at Findlay, 20 points shy of cracking the top-ten. She also has 780 rebounds, ranking fourth all-time at Findlay in rebounds. Her 267 rebounds this season are the fifth-most in a single season in program history.

Schulz, a 5-11 forward from Strongsville, Ohio, averaged 11.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 28.9 minutes per game, starting 25 of 27 appearances. She shot 38.2% overall, 36.8% from 3-point range (57 of 155), tied for second in the G-MAC in 3pt.%, and 85.7% at the free-throw line. She also contributed 23 steals and eight blocks. Schulz's standout game came with 22 points at Ursuline on Jan. 24, and she drained five 3-pointers against Seton Hill on Nov. 21. She reached double figures in scoring 17 times, including an 18-point effort at Wayne State (Mich.) on Dec. 20, and was consistent from deep, hitting multiple three-pointers in 14 games.
