Quincy, Ill. - The University of Findlay lacrosse team suffered a 13-4 loss on the road against Quincy University.
Quincy started the game strong by scoring four goals in the first quarter before junior
Rebecca Chmiel got the Oilers on the board, followed shortly by a goal from
Mylee Cain to end the first with a 4-2 scoreline.Â
Findlay came out strong in the second with a man-down goal from junior
Karissa Allbright, assisted by sophomore
Natalie Wright. However, Quincy responded to the strong start by scoring four more goals to make the score at half 8-3.
The Oilers were able to score a man-up goal in the third quarter from freshman
Ella Predina, assisted by sophomore
Breeann Talabac. The Oilers' effort wasn't enough as Quincy scored two goals to make it 10-4.
The fourth quarter brought three unanswered Quincy goals that secured the 13-4 win for the home side.
The Oilers will look to respond from this defeat when they travel on the road again to Wheeling, West Virginia. Findlay will take on Wheeling University on Saturday, March 14 at 1p.m.
