Indianapolis, Ind. - Freshman tennis standout Maria Batinic has been named as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Athlete of the Week as released by the conference office on Monday, March 9. The award comes after her performances against both Queens University and Adelphi University this past week. 
 

Batinic of University helped lead the Oilers to a 2-0 weekend with victories over Queens University and nationally ranked No. 21 Adelphi University. Batinic played a key role in both matches, contributing in singles and doubles as Findlay secured the pair of team wins.

Batinic went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles and also posted a 2-0 record at No. 2 singles. Her weekend was highlighted by a singles victory over Marie Bertran De Balanda of Queens, who is currently the sixth-ranked singles player in the East Region.
