Findlay Wins Seventh President's Cup

Presidents' Cup Final Standings

Indianapolis, Ind. - The University of Findlay department of athletics has captured its' seventh Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Presidents' Cup as the league office unveiled the final standings on Monday, May 18. This marks the seventh time in eight years that the Oilers have won the cup.

The G-MAC Presidents' Cup is awarded each year to the member institution that collects the highest tally of points based on regular season winning percentage (standings) or individual meet results (sports with no conference regular season schedule) through the athletic year. The Oilers secured 196 points in the standings for the 2025-26 season, 8 points higher than Ashland University who finished runner-up and 41.5 points higher than Tiffin University which took third.

"As we celebrate the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, seeing the Great Midwest Presidents' Cup remain right here in Findlay is a testament to the culture of excellence we have built," stated Director of Athletics, Jim Givens. "This seventh cup victory belongs to our student-athletes, whose drive is matched only by the guidance of our coaches, the vital and constant care of our athletic trainers, and the unwavering support of our administrators. By consistently raising the bar in both championship competition and the classroom, these individuals embody the qualities of excellence and success that define our university."

This season, the Oilers led the Presidents' Cup standings from the beginning, leading in both the fall and winter standings.

Findlay's big earners in the fall came from football, which won a share of the G-MAC Championship, and volleyball and women's soccer, which each were second in the standings at season's end.

In the winter, both men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned conference titles while wrestling and both men's and women's track & field teams finished third.

This spring was one for the record book as both men's and women's golf, women's tennis, and softball secured G-MAC Championships.

Of Findlay's 22 programs, none finished lower than fifth in any conference standing.

Findlay has now won the Presidents' Cup seven times, the most in the history of the G-MAC.
