He will serve as the primary media contact and steward of the Findlay Athletics brand while cultivating and maintaining relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets. A member of the Oilers staff since 2013, Niermann will also oversee the department's newly created Strategic Communications Assistant position as part of his continued role on the senior leadership team.

Swanagan will also serve as a resource for coaches, student-athletes, staff, and boosters on NCAA legislation while helping uphold the integrity of the athletics program.
  • New: Strategic Communications Assistant: Working closely with the Associate Director of Athletics for Strategic Communications, the Strategic Communications Assistant will support the department's communications efforts through the writing, editing, and distribution of press releases, video production, and the management of NCAA-mandated statistics, records, and historical archives. "One of our greatest strengths is the people who make up our department," said Director of Athletics, Jim Givens. I'm excited about what this team will accomplish together as we continue moving the University of Findlay Department of Athletics forward."
