Columbus, OH – The University of Findlay men's soccer ended their three-game road streak with a trip to Columbus, OH against the Ohio Dominican Panthers on September 19, 2026. The Oilers came away with a 3-0 victory after a goal-filled second half that would move their record to 5-1-1 (2-1-1). The Panthers now sit at 1-4-2 (0-3-1).
After a first half that ended 0-0, the Oilers found the back of the net for their first goal of the day in the 56th minute from a long throw into the box that eventually fell to the feet of senior
Andre Sardinha, who finished the ball, giving them a 1-0 lead. Fifth year
Tom Middleham was credited with the assist on the goal.
Just three minutes later, the Oilers doubled their lead on a cross finished by
Tom Middleham in the 59th minute to make the score 2-0. The goal was assisted on a low-driven cross by senior
Leo Egerer, his third of the season.
The final goal of the afternoon was finished on a breakaway by junior
Tyson Woodring in the 73rd minute to seal a dominant second-half performance by the Oilers.
The Panthers earned a penalty in the 82nd minute that was saved by senior goalkeeper
Lazaro Salais. He finished the match with one save on the day.
The Oilers return to DeHaven when they face Lake Erie on September 24 in key midweek matchup.
